We can proudly present a very nice and updated HR34 from 2000. The boat is available for viewing in Nävekvarn, Sweden. If interested, contact the broker for more information and to book an appointment for a viewing; more pictures and information can be sent by email. Below you will find some background information, pictures and descriptions and a list of things done recently. With the comparatively higher price, this HR34 is also aimed at people interested in an HR342 who would consider this slightly older model but with fully updated systems. The boat was previously owned by a Swede and kept in winter storage on the Göta älv. The boat has been used only in Sweden for local sailing. The low engine hours of only 1,275 show that he did not use the boat a lot. The equipment was very basic and there was no anchoring equipment installed at all. The interior feels very lightly used and the upholstery smelled freshly washed when I got her. The interior is in almost original condition. When I did the refit I managed to update it but used black box instruments where possible, so it is still very much unchanged in appearance. There are no old screw holes or similar. The exterior and the gelcoat still have a very good appearance. The teak is original from 2000 but, compared with Mediterranean or UK boats, it shows that a boat sailed only in Sweden spent much of its life in winter storage. I trimmed back the caulking on the deck and hand sanded it ever so lightly to get the grain to close. There is one area where something fell from a neighbour's boat a few years ago and the teak is slightly deformed. Moisture measurements have shown that it is dry and only a visual issue. Sails and rigging seem to be in good condition. The boat spent the winter of 2023 in storage at Vindön Marin on Orust, where we blasted and redid the underwater hull with Coppercoat. In the summer of 2024 she sailed to the east coast of Sweden via Copenhagen and Germany, and I installed a full Mastervolt system in Germany including 2x100Ah lithium, an alternator charging controller and monitoring. The boat was thoroughly test sailed this summer and all installations are working properly. The boat is easy to handle with small sail areas, an in-mast furling mainsail and a Furlex that runs like new. The new autopilot is one size too big and handles the boat beautifully. All electronics and the bow thruster are within very good reach of the helmsman. The engine is purring like a cat and the Webasto heater is fully operational. Updated 2024: she sailed in north-eastern Sweden this summer with at times intense fog, and the Doppler radar is a good friend! The boat has two solar panels (50 W each) and can stay at anchor for about 5 days without the need for fresh water or electricity. They did several 3-day nonstop passages and, with the autopilot and all necessary instruments running, used the engine for about 30–45 minutes daily to top up the electricity. The Mastervolt regulator and temperature sensor, combined with the low resistance of the lithium batteries, make using the engine for charging extremely efficient (hence less runtime). *Recent additions* Spring 2024 by Vindön Marin, Henån, Orust: Underbody sandblasted, primed 3x and 4x Coppercoat hard antifouling New carpets throughout the boat New cockpit "chart table" under the windshield on the port side (as on bigger HR models) New hoses for cooking gas New battery system Mastervolt MLI 2x100Ah Mastervolt Alpha Pro3 with temperature sensor (alternator controller) Mastervolt Mac Plus 12/12-50 (DC/DC charger) Mastervolt EasyView Mastervolt USB adapter (if needed, the whole system can be monitored and maintained remotely by Mastervolt technicians) 2x SmartSolar controllers and a new solar panel for the deck Spring 2023 New anchor system New anchor windlass (Lewmar V2 from HR Parts) New 16 kg stainless Ultra anchor (from HR Parts) New 60 m of 8 mm chain (stainless V4A, Niro 1.4401) New navigation electronics Beetronics 22" marine monitor at the chart table inside Cortex V1 VHF and AIS SOTDMA Class B+ New RG213 low loss antenna cable, one run from device to antenna, new antenna Complete new Raymarine suite Plotter Axiom+ 9" 2x i70s instruments, wind vane, depth sounder New autopilot set EV-200 Linear (linear drive below deck) Radar Quantum 2 Doppler New 2.4 m dinghy that fits into the cockpit locker New 2.5 hp Yamaha outboard New high quality tricolour light in the mast New anodes throughout Refurbished the 3-blade folding prop Checked and fixed the sprayhood and cockpit tent (very good condition) Full service of all winches, furlers and moving items Rerun reefing lines for in-mast furling (only starboard side under the windshield, to make space for the chart area on the port side) Added Spinlock blocks on the mast Several new halyards and sheets
