Sell your boat with Båtförmedlarna!
We handle the whole sale, from valuation and photography to viewings, negotiation and contract.
Selling a boat yourself takes time: the listing has to be written, prospects call in the evenings and at weekends, and finally a contract has to be drawn up that holds if something turns out to be wrong. We do it for you. You get a broker who runs the whole process, and you keep control of the price.
Why use a broker
What you get when we run the sale
The right price from the start
We value the boat on condition, equipment and how the market looks right now. A boat priced correctly from the outset sells faster, and usually for more than one that has sat on the market and been forced down.
A listing that answers the questions
Considered photographs, a complete equipment list and an honest description of condition. That reduces the number of viewings that lead nowhere, and builds trust with the buyer who is genuinely serious.
We take the calls
Every prospect goes through us. We answer questions, hold the viewings and run the negotiation. You avoid both the wasted time and the awkward price discussion.
Secure paperwork
We write the contract and make sure handover is correct for both parties. That is the part that causes trouble in private sales.

What is included
From valuation to handed-over boat
If the boat needs preparing first we do it at our facility in Skarpinge: washing, reconditioning, polishing and service. The boat can also stand indoors while it is on the market. Survey, transport, reconditioning and storage are separate services that you pay for on their own, so they are not part of the fee.
- Free valuation of the boat

- Marketing in our channels
- Contact with prospects and viewings

Common questions about selling a boat
What does it cost to sell through a broker?
The fee depends on the boat's value. Use our valuation tool and you get both a valuation and a quote for the fee right away, with no commitment.
Does the boat have to be moved to you?
No. We come out to the boat where it lies, along the east coast from Stockholm to Kalmar and on the west coast through our agent there. If you would rather the boat stands with us during the sale, that works too.
How long does it take to sell a boat?
It varies with boat type, condition, price and season. We tell you honestly what we think about your boat at the valuation, rather than promising a timeframe we cannot keep.
Who decides the price?
You do. We give a recommendation based on the market and what comparable boats actually sell for, but the decision on asking price and on accepting an offer is always yours.
Can you recondition the boat before the sale?
Yes. At the facility in Skarpinge we do washing, reconditioning, polishing and antifouling. A well-presented boat sells both faster and better.
What happens if the boat does not sell?
Then we sit down and go through why. Usually it comes down to price, presentation or timing, and then we adjust. Get in touch and we will explain how our assignment works in detail.
