We present an incredibly fine and updated Dufour 34 Performance. You are welcome to book a viewing – the boat is located outside Valdemarsvik. The Dufour 34 was voted European Yacht of the Year 2003. As a family yacht, the pleasant and solid mahogany interior stands out and gives lovely comfort on board. The Dufour 34 has unique sea-keeping thanks to a specially shaped forward section: in heavy seas the slightly concave bow cleaves the water, which makes the Dufour 34 ride softly in rough conditions. She is designed to sail comfortably even on large waters. More than 650 Dufour 34s have been built. Collected brand new with the mast stepped at Gåshaga on 12 July 2003. Only one owner. A Mälaren boat at Södertälje SBK until 7 May 2022, when the boat's new home port became Valdemarsvik WSK. The boat is in the two-cabin configuration. To port of the companionway steps there is an L-shaped forward-facing galley with a hob and oven and twin sinks. Aft of the galley is an aft cabin with a double berth and a wardrobe. To starboard of the companionway steps there is a heads with a hand shower and a wardrobe for hanging foul weather gear. Forward of the heads is the navigation station with a separate seat facing forward. There is also a larger electrical panel here: shore power switch, hot water switch, 230V switch and so on. Saloon with two fore-and-aft settees. Between the saloon and the forepeak there are wardrobes. Hull construction The hull is made of Twaron-fibre reinforced laminate with a Twaron-reinforced stringer system, laminated as a complete hull with stringers from stem to stern, including the sides and the keel attachment. During lamination a close-weave mat was laid and the laminate was vacuum bagged to remove any air. On top of this system a complete inner liner was placed and bonded in; channels for cables and mountings for pipes were run in this liner. The interior rests in the inner liner. The deck was made in a similar way with vacuum infusion, but with solid areas where the stringers run. Manufacture is certified by the French Bureau Veritas with a blue CE plate, Class A. The plate is located in the aft compartment. There is also a plate in the forward anchor locker with the hull number. The boat was therefore delivered with a 5-year warranty.
